Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has revealed that he hopes to keep Yannick Bolasie at the club despite heavy interest from Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports from the Express.

The 26-year-old impressed last season for the Eagles, catching the eye of manager Mauricio Pochettino as he plans to reinforce his squad before deadline day.

Palace are currently valuing the winger at around the £25million region, with Pardew admitting that he will not force the player to stay if he is keen on joining a bigger club.

"If any of my players get linked with bigger clubs I would not expect them to (reject the possibility of leaving). It would be a foolish move," he said.

“You have to keep your options open and I have got no problem with that. But the option at the moment is he's a Crystal Palace player.

Bolasie also stated that he will not push for an exit from his current side, but if an offer that can benefit his career is tabled, he will find it hard to turn down.

"I am a loyal guy, but this is a game and a business. Opportunities to play for a top club do not swing by every day," he said.

"You would have to look into it to see if it suits you and your family.

"At my age it could be the right time, but it has to be right for the club as well."

The Congo international featured a total of 35 times for his side last term, scoring four goals while providing a further 11 assists.

Apart from Spurs, the player has also been linked with an earlier move to Liverpool, but the Reds saw their efforts blocked.
