How many newspapers in Spain were focused on the clash between Arsenal and Man City? How many Italian fans tuned in to check out Chelsea play Tottenham? Even more than that, how many of anyone outside of the UK gave a crap about Man Utd vs Reading?

The reason we don't gush over the continental football week-in, week-out, is because it's not ours. The same is true in reverse.

Stop assuming that arrogance and provincial attitudes are a solely English phenomenon. The Premier League is the best league in the world because of having 9 of the last ten years' worth of CL finalists. La Liga's showing? Barcelona, only. The Bundesliga? Same with Bayern.

It's not just opinion, it's freaking fact.

Have watched all the other leagues......Spain, pass pass pass pass etc...Italy, run drop cry scream fall stop etc.
Germany, same as international try not to make a mistake, same pace boring......MLS, long ball, run like hell. Barcelona, a watered down version of Liverpool fc at the height of the '70's and '80's.......
I could go on......The EPL has a lot of different teams playing in different styles with players from all over the world and there are not two or three teams that are good, they are all good some have their bad days but on the whole every game has an ebb and flow.

I live in Canada and was born and raised in England and It's Ok to say the EPL is great, you don't get the americans saying they would rather be watching baseball in China etc.

You go watch what you want and I'll watch the EPLand get the hi-lights from the other leagues.

Put Messi in a team that is not built around him and see how good his is then esp. in the EPL .

I'd say he would do as well as Aguero, not bad not 100 goals in one year, maybe not even 20 in the EPL!
