The rivalry between England and Australia is one of the biggest around in sporting competition. The Aussies are a joy to go up against and England play against them a lot across a number of sports. We play them in rugby and cricket this summer.

We always try to beat them and they always try to beat us, but it was the British and Irish Lions who got one over the Wallabies earlier this summer.

The 2013 Ashes has also just got underway, as England attempt to win their third Ashes series in a row. Why's it called the Ashes? Because bails were burnt to ashes when Australia beat England in 1982 and since then England and Australia battle it out to have the ashes.

To celebrate our rivalry with Australia I have put together an Australian Premier League XI.
