The transfer of Kolo Toure to Celtic has finally happened and the Ivorian has been reunited with former boss Brendan Rodgers, as the Bhoys attempt to reclaim their Scottish domestic crown once more.

The signing of Toure indicated a couple of things for Celtic. Firstly, it shows that the draw of Brendan Rodgers can convince top class players to head to Glasgow.

Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, it demonstrates that Rodgers is an astute man manager, something that has been so clearly missing at Celtic Park for the last couple of seasons under the Ronny Deila regime.

Scott Sinclair

Scott Sinclair was perhaps at his sumptuous best when playing under Brendan Rodgers at Swansea. The young playmaker was direct, confident and displayed all the skills of a future star.

However, certain career choices have scuppered Sinclair’s promoising career. A reunion with the boss that he performed so well under, could be just what Celtic, and the player himself needs.

Adrian Mariappa

Currently a free agent after his three year contract with Crystal Palace expired, Adrian Mariappa offers a wealth of experience from his time in the English game.

The 29-year-old flourished well under Brendan Rodgers while at Watford, perfecting his defensive game in order to be able to play across the entire back line.

While Mariappa may not be the star name that Celtic fans were hoping to attract, he is an astute back up that won’t be afraid to give his all for the shirt.

Andre Wisdom

Despite enduring relegation with Norwich last season, Andre Wisdom was a consistent performer and looks ready for regular first team football.

Now back at parent club Liverpool, Wisdom is likely to be looking for pastures new and Celtic would be the ideal option.

Rodgers rarely played Wisdom during his time at Anfield but recognised the talents of that young defender. With a modest asking price and a bright future, Rodgers would be wise to plot a move for Wisdom.

Victor Moses

The perennial loan-man, Victor Moses has been bouncing around the Premier League like an unwanted beach ball in recent years.

The 25-year-old played under Rodgers during a six month spell at Liverpool in 2014 and look set for another spell away from parent club Chelsea, due to an incomparable feast of offensive options at Stamford Bridge.

Moses would be a real coup for Celtic, who would be receiving a tricky, skilful playmaker who has six years of experience in the English top flight.

Luis Alberto

23-year old Luis Alberto has struggled to adapt to life in Liverpool since his move to Anfield three years ago. Making only nine appearances in his debut campaign, the Spaniard was subsequently loaned out to Malaga in 2014-15 and Deportivo last season, where he was a standout performer.

Now back in training with Liverpool, Alberto is at a pivotal stage in his career. The former Barcelona man is starting to play some impressive football and reunion with Rodgers at Celtic could be the perfect catalyst to launch the young playmaker onto the European stage.
