You can’t get away from how impressive Tottenham have been so far this season; picking themselves up from a slow start, recording results that send waves around England and now sitting just four points off the European champions in the Premier League.
But Daniel Levy will need to be sure not to make the same mistakes as last season, where he failed to properly address the lack of numbers in the squad and replaced departing names with players of lesser quality.
Levy may promise Andre Villas-Boas more arrivals in the summer, but by that point there is no telling how strong the other teams in the top half of the league table will be. Spurs have a very realistic chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season, however additions in this window would go a long way to ensure that slip-ups like last season do not occur again.
