It's that time of year again when work Christmas do’s clutter the diary. Christmas parties are a great time for teams to bond and build up spirit and moral, however, there's always one numpty who takes it a step too far and ends up urinating in a plant pot and being seen with their pants down, yes literally. Today we take a look at which clubs have the best Christmas parties.

This blog wouldn’t sit right if I failed to mention the Crazy gang. The Crazy Gang, coined by the English media were a group of players who played for Wimbledon Football Club as it was then known. The group included such players as Dennis Wise, John Fashanu, Vinnie Jones and Lawrie Sanchez, these boys were constantly getting up to mischief and you can bet that their Christmas parties were alcohol-fuelled practical joke-filled occasions with the ability to rival any other party elsewhere.

Shortly after The Crazy Gang came The Spice boys of Liverpool. Seen typically as being composed of Jamie Redknapp, David James, Steve McManaman, Robbie Fowler, Stan Collymore and Jason McAteer you can be sure that these boys knew how to party. It is thought at the Liverpool Football Club 1998 Christmas party drinking, sex toys and strippers (labelled as the "most debauched Christmas party in the world...ever" by The Independent) highlighted for the nation their infamy, and got them castigated by the media. Now I don’t condone any such behaviour, of course not, but I can imagine it was a lot of fun for those boys!

In late 2002 three Celtic first-team players have spent the night in custody after being arrested during a club night out, police said today. The players were arrested outside a Newcastle bar by police probing the alleged theft of a press photographer's camera. The club had been staging their Christmas party at the American-themed showbar, where bikini-clad waitresses serve customers. A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "The players were with the group from the club who were in Bufallo Joe's on the Gateshead side of the river as were a number of photographers." To add to this Neil Lennon was said to have been arrested for breach of the police as a joke while his Celtic team mates were themselves being arrested.

So there's a few wee stories. If you’ve got any about your club why not comment and give us all a quick laugh.
