This week my goal of the week comes courtesy of the feisty Lancashire derby where Bolton Wanderers managed to put an end to Sam Allardyce’s reign in charge of Blackburn Rovers after a 2-1 win.

The winning goal was scored just minutes before the end when Stuart Holden raced onto Kevin Davies’ flick and smashed home a volley from the edge of the area. The goal came just seconds after Blackburn thought they had snatched a point with a late equaliser. Not a bad way to win a derby…
