It’s so easy to demonize agents,few recall the time when players existed in a system resembling indentured servants.
Told how much they would be paid, told to pack their bags as the had just been transfered, etc.
And yes the shoe is on the other foot now, but clubs dont want the type of system where profit is equally shared between players and clubs, that exists in pro sports in the US, with wage caps involved.
They want total control, which is where the agent is a neccessity, get used to it.

All I hear lately is about how much clubs are paying agents. Agents have become so greedy , so maybe its time that agents where soley paid by the player. If an absoulute joke that clubs are expected to pick up fees so players can screw a bit more out off a club .

I have no problem with agents. I only have a problem with the club having to pay for an agent employed by a player. If an agent expects a huge fee surely that should come from his employer.

Unless I missed something the article was referring to agent’s (not transfer) fees.

With regard to the, so called, FFP I think anyone with half a brain can see that those rules have just been drawn up to preserve the status quo!

Because footballers employ the agents so are therefore responsible for their actions!

Capping fees will be dreadful for football, especially the smaller clubs who will recieve tiny transfer fees. What would Crystal Palace have received from Man U as a result of capping? They wouldn’t be able to survive, you might as well cut the league in half and make the rest part-time. Stupid idea.
