As the transfer season kicks into full swing, it looks like it will be one in at Arsenal and one out at Chelsea.

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has been linked with a four-year deal with Arsenal. This would finally see Gunners manager Arsene Wenger splash the cash and bring in a marquee signing.

At Stamford Bridge, Nigerian international John Obi Mikel could be headed to the exit door, as Turkish giants Galatasaray have made Chelsea’s defensive midfielder their number one summer target…

In other news, Pep Guardiola has been officially unveiled as the new manager of Bayern Munich, but the former Barcelona manager will have a tough task to achieve greater feats for the Bundesliga and Champions League holders.

Current Watford manager Gianfranco Zola thinks the managerial changes will add a breath of fresh air to the division, but can David Moyes pick up where Sir Alex Ferguson left off at Manchester United.

And finally, problems continue to mount in Brazil as locals riot while the Confederations Cup is being played, but the World Cup will still be heading to the South America country next summer.

Would you like to see Higuain in an Arsenal shirt? Is Mikel’s time at Chelsea up?

Is very shamefull Arsenal playing for good 8yrs without a rubber spoon, so i expect signing quality players not mentioning them. I mean i need perfect execution.

With the Transfer Window coming into full swing and closing soon, is that all for Arsenal- only ONE buy? What a big talk from the CEO or is it more to come in the next few days? So far no confirmation though. There is certainly a need for a MD and perhaps a good and experienced GK.

Hold on Josh, get a grip! The transfer window hasn’t even officially opened yet and doesn’t until 1st July, so it’s hardly in full swing. Have a little faith, The Professor will get it right. Unlike a lot of gooners fans, I don’t think there is a great deal wrong with the current squad, as was demonstrated in the closing months of the season. The win at Bayern Munich (the only team to win there) and 26 from 30 points, at the business end of the Premier league prove that. I think the addition of Higuain and Felaini would be a massive boost for the club, but to blow the entire budget for the sake of it, doesn’t make practical or financial sense

Been a Gunners fan since 1947/48 season. Arsene never shows his hand pre window.Rest assured we will get marquee signings. Confident we will get silverware.

with higuain added arsenal will be good enough in the front.
in the midfield with wilshere (go) ramsey (get the ball) arteta (hold) santi (that sneaky goal) rosicky (creative play) – we need one very good midfielder – somebody like Barry? in disguise? At the back a good replacement for squillaci. Our bigger problem is injuries and mindset. We are very good in our winning periods but with one loss or draw we tend to buckle down. I hope we have a good start at Villa and keep it that way through most of the season. gooner in bangkok

Hi i haven’t seen any signing what do mean when you say we will have silverware from where? with the team we hard last season a big know we must shop seriously we can see what our competitors are doing we haven’t signed any single player saying we still have time from where? those who have done business don’t they have time like us? or are they in a different league? we should not pretend we want to compete.

Ye can see both these signings going ahead. PLUS every calm down. The transfer window hast even officially opened yet don’t expect Higuain to be the last signing at Arsenal…

What is the transfer window? How come Liverpool, Chelsea and others have already signed players if the transfer window has not opened?
