This season’s Capital One Cup has seen some incredible turnarounds, with Arsenal overcoming Reading in emphatic fashion in Round Four, as well Chelsea finally turning round the deficit in the previous rounds against Manchester United and Leeds respectively.
Down the years the Capital One Cup has produced its fair share of memorable comebacks. If you can think of a scenario more enthralling than a team beating the odds to come back from the brink and thumping adversity square in the jaw, I’d love to hear about it. This famous old trophy has produced some thrilling turnarounds throughout the years with teams from the lower leagues triumphing over top-flight opposition to give their fans a memory they will hold forever in their heart and mind. There is just nothing to rival the feeling or emotions felt watching your team complete a revival no one thought possible. What could possibly beat it? Roaring on the players as goal after goal rockets in, the net ripples and the hope once lost in the doldrums of a three goal deficit surges through your body. Give me a better feeling than that and I’ll happily entertain you.
