Stripped of the captaincy at Aston Villa and then benched by manager Paul Lambert, Darren Bent must begin to turn his eyes toward the January transfer window.
Strikers of Bent’s quality simply cannot spend 80 minutes of a match on the bench, especially behind inconsistent youth such as Christian Benteke. Bent will be desperate to get first-XI action again, and this may prompt a swift move in January.
