David James – Artist – Footballers and culture don’t exactly go hand in hand, indeed you be surprised to see John Terry walking round the National Portrait Gallery. However, one person who wouldn’t look out of place would be former England goalkeeper David James, who takes a keen interest in the artistic world. He has produced a number of paintings and illustrated a children’s book during his time off the field, while he helped decorate the Bristol City car park in graffiti during his time at Ashton Gate.
