1. Juan Sebastian Veron – Veron was at the peak of his powers when he signed for United from Lazio for a British record at the time £28.1 million in 2001. Having conquered Italy, winning trophies under Sven Goran Eriksson’s reign, Veron moved to Old Trafford with a big reputation. However, things didn’t quite go according to plan as the Argentinean disappointed massively during his spell in Manchester. They shipped him on to Chelsea where, impossibly, Veron was even worse. As good a player as Veron undoubtedly was, he will always be remembered as a Premier League disaster.
