It doesn’t often happen that Fergie gets it wrong. However, letting Gerard Pique slip out of his hands must have given the Scotsman some sleepless nights. Perhaps never performing above average in his time at Old Trafford meant that the Spaniard would never have been offered a new contract. However, he rarely played as much as he should have, despite his young age at the time and now, as one of the best defenders in the world, the Old Trafford faithful will be disappointed at seeing such a talent, wasted on the bench
