England doesn’t expect. For the first time in living memory a summer football tournament is being met with a sense of pessimism as opposed to the usual fanfare. Quietly, many fans see this as the factor that will propel England to glory on July 1st. With fan favourite Harry Redknapp being snubbed for the managers position, Wayne Rooney being banned for the first two games and a number of questionable squad omissions and inclusions the general consensus is that we should shelve our hopes and dreams until World Cup 2014. However, like it or not, when it comes down to the crunch none of us will be able to resist the uncomfortable fortnight ahead and maybe, just maybe allow England to make us believe again.
Throughout the tournament The Euro FanCast will provide real opinions by real fans. It is your chance to share your views, humour or Stewart Downing hate mail. Today, Football FanCast’s Tom Skinner and Hamish Mackay preview the tournament, covering all the big issues from Poisonous kits to Psychic elephants.
