It seems reasonable at this stage of the Premier League season to look back at those who have been deserving of a place in the Worst XI.
While players like Robin van Persie and Michu are a joy to watch in England, some ‘neutrals’ may get a kick out of the shocking displays served up by players who are deemed good enough for the top flight. Some of them certainly are, but have unfortunately hit a point in their career where a change is needed. Others have been so woeful and lacking in any natural talent that you wonder who gave them the go-ahead to become a pro footballer.
So here is it, in a noticeably continental 4-2-3-1 formation that the Premier League has so lovingly adopted.
