Sneijder is at odds with his current club.
The dutch international, who has scored 24 times for his country, is in the middle of a contract dispute where he would have to accept lower wages in order to stay with the Serie A giants past 2015.
Sneijder, who has also played for Ajax and Inter Milan would bring undoubted quality to the Premier League, with his ability to score goals and play key passes from either out wide or playing as a supporting striker.
The 28-year-old has been a long-term target for Sir Alex Ferguson and this January could be the Scot’s best opportunity to bring him to Old Trafford before his best years are behind him.
