This list is dedicated to the players that have had the biggest impact in England's top division since it was re-franchised in over 20 years ago. Most of the players on this list were able to transfer success in England over to European and international level, truly highlighting their class and legend status.

A special mention to Sol Campbell, Tony Adams, Robert Pires, David Ginola, Robin Van Persie, Didier Drogba and Ruud Van Nistelrooy who were just edged out of the list. I also apologise to full-backs across the country as maybe unfairly, I didn't find any room for players in that increasingly vital position.

During the time of writing this introduction, I've changed my mind, Zola's out and Rooney's in, such is the difficulty of choosing the top 15 Premier League stars.
