10. Rangers – Craig Whyte – Football saw its first massive financial casualty when Scottish giants Rangers fell into the Third Division after failing to pay off massive debts that ruined the club. Craig Whyte bought the club off Sir David Murray in 2011, but it emerged he was banned from being a company director for seven years prior to taking up the position at Rangers. He bought the club for a £1, but left with debts of around £134 million that sadly brought the club to its knees.
