We may be less than two months into the new season, but we have already had our fair share of drama, controversy and fantastic football.

Whilst it is too early to draw any sort of conclusions as to what the season has in store for us, a lot has been learnt from just the first seven matches.

Already the table has started to take some sort of shape, and the surprise packages and early relegation candidates have been drawn out. Teams we perhaps expected to improve have struggled, and vice versa.

Individual players have also stamped their mark on things early season. Those we expected to be amongst the goals have duly delivered, whilst several summer bargains have emerged. Whereas some of the stars of last season have carried on where they left off, others have struggled for form and have so far looked off the pace.

Here is a list of the top ten observations made from the opening seven games of the Premier League season.
