Another transfer window has passed with some clubs rubbing their hands gleefully at the players they've signed and the ones they've managed to hold onto.

The window saw Premier League clubs surpass the £500 million mark when it came to spending with some big players switching allegiances and a few shock purchases thrown in it made for one of the most exciting yet.

Most managers will admit it is their worst nightmare with the prospect of key players being tapped up and chairmen deciding that cashing in would make a perfect business deal, despite it holding no discernible sense when it came to matters on the pitch.

With the big clubs all having money to spend in aid of closing in on and snatching away Manchester United's Premier League crown it went down to the wire as they all strived to strengthen their squad as the clock ticked perilously close to the 11pm deadline.

Now that the window has snapped shut, mobile phones have ceased to ring and managers breathe a MASSIVE sigh of relief, it's time to look back on who the biggest winners were during the summer. Who have landed their number one target and which players have got the dream move they've so frequently tweeted about?

Both Liverpool and Manchester United spent big to freshen up their squads whilst newly promoted QPR went on a frantic spree in the weeks leading up to the deadline. Certain players got the moves they wanted whilst one injury-prone Englishman was handed a surprise chance at the home of his former clubs greatest rivals. I'm sure you can guess who!

So here you have it. The Top TEN winners in the 2011/12 summer transfer window!
