Tottenham grabbed a vital three points at home to Everton today as the battle for the top four intensified.

While Everton were impressive for an hour or so, they couldn’t create and then convert chances with Romelu Lukaku still out injured.

Spurs were unconvincing to say the least but to win a game in that manner will not worry Tim Sherwood who sees his side keep pace with Liverpool but also pull clear of Everton.

    Perhaps Bentalab is a player for the future, but he seems to lose the ball a lot and gets caught between the play a lot.
