This shouldn’t be seen as a response to Bobby Zamora’s latest claim that he isn’t really a fan of football. Ok, it sort of is. At least half. But other than maybe one combined season in the Premier League, has Zamora ever really given evidence that he’s a top striker who can be relied on consistently for goals in the Premier League? He has a few this season, but that isn’t really inspiring considering his reported wages and the fact that QPR need more than just “a few” from their first choice strikers. One way or another, a club with the ambitions of QPR should be doing a lot better if they’re looking to make an impression in England.
