Top 4 are spot on and I will put Pienaar on par with Jagielka, 6-th has to be Nigel Martin, his best pound for pound signing according to Moyes, 7 the M. Bent bought for 400k and sold for 2m while leading Everton’s one man attack, during the season we finished 4-th. Pip will keep the 8-th place in my list also, 9th will be Saha and 10-th McFadden sold for a 4m profit and scored some great goals

I would say that the writer is only focusing on the quality of the player brought in, not their reputation before hand. If you look at the title of the article, with the Yak, Moyes got it right… more right than when he spent 15 mil on Fellaini or 8.5 mil with AJ

The Yak was bought for £11.25 mil, only 750k more than what we sold AJ for… Who would you rather have? AJ a hard worker who couldn’t hit a barn door with a banjo or the Yak, who’s a little more lazy but puts it away more often than not.

It’s much easier to learn to work harder, it’s much harder to learn how to become a good finisher.

Also good call on Baines.

I agree with pienaar, but the reason he has left yak out is because it was no great risk or astute business, he has a proven tack record in the premier league, experience and cost 13.5 mill

i’ve got to agree with the first post… Pienaar is brilliant. Much better than AJ or Fellaini. I’d also put the Yak above those players too

I agree with most, but the omission of Steven Pienaar is nonsensical… One of Moyes best buys. Far better than some of the above
