Olivier Giroud has never been a fan favourite at the Emirates, and at the start of the new season he isn’t helping himself with his no-show against Besiktas on Tuesday night.

With reports that Arsenal are still in the market for a striker, you would expect the Frenchman to prove to his boss there’s no need to splash the cash before the transfer window closes… but not it seems Arsene Wenger will need to conduct a bit of last-minute transfer business to ease the Gunners fans.

Here are some Tweets showcasing the fans’ disappointment in Giroud’s performance.

No blame 4 giroud but rather blame wenger 4 being tribalistic. cos a player lyk giroud doesn’t no wer deserve a team lyk arsenal. Pls Wenger giroud wl neva gv u cap n if u think dis is false, dnt sign a better striker 2 prove me wrong.
