AC Milan are considering a move for Chelsea’s Samuel Eto’o as a replacement for the potentially departing Mario Balotelli, Daily Mail reports.
The Chelsea striker has only spent one year with the Blues but seems to have fallen out with manager Jose Mourinho.
Eto’o, who is only on a one year contract, will be available for free this summer and has attracted interest from AS Roma and China’s Guangzhou Evergrande.
But AC Milan have emerged as the most keen to sign the 33-year-old as the Italian giants prepare for an attack without star striker Mario Balotelli.
The Serie A outfit are looking to sign players on a bargain price with money a shortage at the San Siro.
The Rossoneri are looking to offload some of their star players in order to raise some funds, with Balotelli close to a £25million Arsenal switch.
Nigel de Jong’s impressive performances have also alerted Europe’s elite, with Man United his most likely destination.
Eto’o has Serie A experience playing with Inter Milan from 2009-2011, and still has his finishing abilities with 12 goals for Chelsea last season.
