Ajax star Daley Blind has talked up the possibility of joining Manchester United this summer, saying an offer from Louis van Gaal would prove too difficult to turn down, reports the Express.
The Holland international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford after impressing in the left wing back role under Van Gaal during the World Cup in Brazil.
The 24-year-old has also been linked with Barcelona, but admits the possibility of linking up with Louis van Gaal once again is most appealing.
The Dutch player of the year is capable of playing that left wing back role, or central midfield.
He told De Telegraaf: “It would be hard to say no to United and to Barcelona.
“I’m happy at Ajax, but I do not know what will happen.”
It was revealed earlier in the week that Blind was training away from the first-team squad by his own choice, further heightening speculation regarding a move to United.
Youth coach Richard Witschge added: “I think Daley Blind will be leaving soon. I have a feeling.
“He has been training by himself. I think he has done that, because there’s something going on.”
