Massimiliano Allegri has added additional fuel to the speculation that he could replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal with his latest comments, as quoted by Metro.

What's the worst?

Arsene Wenger's future at Arsenal is looking increasingly bleak and the Gunners have reportedly identified Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri as an ideal replacement for their long-serving 67-year-old, a move many fans would be delighted with.

Allegri has earned a storming reputation within European football after guiding AC Milan to the Serie A title in 2011, the last side that wasn't Juventus to lift the title, and then achieving success with the Turin giants, including guiding them to the 2015 Champions League final.

Whilst Allegri has refused to be clarify his position with the Italian giants as speculation continues to adorn the back pages, with the 49-year-old's latest comments likely to raise speculation even further.

What was said?

Quoted by Metro, Allegri said:

‘How’s my English? I started learning before Milan, now I’ve left it. They say I’ll go to Arsenal? You all say that, I just listen…’

Would he be the right fit?

Guiding Juventus to continued success in Italian football, despite losing big-name players like Paul Pogba, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal, Allegri has the tactical nohow, transfer influence and all the other necessary attributes to succeed at Arsenal.

Having guided Juventus to the 2015 Champions League final, Allegri also has an impressive pedigree in Europe and could certainly boost the Gunners in their quest to final edge past the Round of 16 stage- and he'd earn better wages in England than he would in Italy.
