Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have all declared an interest in Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema as the Spanish club look set to sell the forward, according to the Sunday People.

Madrid allowed fellow strikers Gonzalo Higuain and Jose Callejon to leave the Spanish capital over the summer for Napoli and they are set to recoup their fee for Benzema too.

United are the favourites to snap up the French international as David Moyes is looking to spend an £80million budget in the new year but Arsenal and Chelsea are more keen to sign a striker.

Arsenal need support for Olivier Giroud and made an enquiry for Benzrma as well as Higuain and many others in the summer.

Chelsea have inexplicably allowed Romelu Lukaku out on loan for the season and so Jose Mourinho has an out of form Samuel Eto’o, an out of form Fernando Torres and an out of form Demba Ba to work with, meaning their advances for a striker in January are inevitable.
