Julian Draxler has opened the door to a possible Premier League move, but it will be for next season, Daily Star reports.
Draxler has recently been linked with a host of top European sides, but it was Arsenal who was closest to signing the young German international.
But as the Gunners pushed closer to a deal, Schalke upped the price for their 20-year-old star causing negotiations to break down.
Manchester United as well as Chelsea were closely monitoring the situation and will make a move if the possibility was to ever open up.
Now Draxler has expressed that he could be searching for new challenges at the end of next season, possibility in the English top flight.
“In January there was the offer of Arsenal, but I decided to stay,” Draxler said.
“I will do the same this summer. I want to play one year more in Schalke.”
Reports suggested that it will take up to £37million to lure Draxler away from Germany, who has been with Schalke since 2001.
