Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle are in the race to sign Manchester City defender Micah Richards, who has been allowed to leave the Etihad, Express reports.
Richards has been playing second-fiddle to first choice right back Pablo Zabaleta and with the free signing of Bacary Sagna from Arsenal, is now well behind in the pecking order.
The 26-year-old currently has one year left on his contract and is now a target for the Premier League trio, with all clubs keen to sign a right sided defender.
Richards has been unlucky with injuries last season and hasn’t featured much under Manuel Pellegrini, and Man City are willing to let the Englishman go at a cut-price fee.
The Gunners have been keeping an eye on Richards for some time, and with the chase for Toulouse’s Serge Aurier currently stalled, could make a bid to revive Richard’s career.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also a fan of the powerful defender, who is set to lose Glen Johnson when his contract ends in a year’s time.
But it is Newcastle who could beat the two sides to Richards’ signature, as he wants nothing less than regular first-team football.
And Alan Pardew could use the potential sale of Mathieu Debuchy to fund a move for the Manchester City right-back.
