Arsenal and Liverpool are both ready to reignite their chase of Mauricio Isla after the Juventus star’s recent World Cup performance, Daily Star reports.
Brendan Rodgers will need to reinforce his squad by adding more depth and is preparing a bid to lure the right-back to England.
The Chilean star can also play further up the flanks in a more attacking role, as his versatility is seen as a huge addition to the Red’s line up.
However, the Merseyside club will need to compete with the likes of the Gunners, who are also known to be chasing Isla.
With Rodgers looking likely to lose Glen Johnson at the end of the next season and Arsene Wenger already losing Bacary Sagna to Manchester City, the Premier League pair are both aiming to reinforce the right defensive slot.
Valued at £15million, many expect his price to be on the rise due to his current form in Brazil, but the player admitted that he is currently happy in Turin.
Isla revealed: “I’m working hard for Chile and for Juve.
“I know that the fans love me, everything will depend on the coach. I’m happy to continue my adventure at Juventus.”
