Hamburg starlet and Arsenal target Hakan Calhanoglu is a target for Turkish giants Galatasary, according to the player himself, reports talkSPORT.
The Turkish international has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in Europe following a breakthrough season with the Bundesliga side.
He has managed 16 appearances for Hamburg so far this season, and has found the back of the net five times.
His impressive performances have seen him compared to Arsenal and Germany star Mesut Ozil, whilst reports have emerged suggesting both the Gunners and Premier League leaders Liverpool are keen to sign him.
But Turkish giants Galatasary have now emerged as the favourites for his signature, with Calhanoglu understood to be tempted to make a move to his homeland.
The 19-year-old also revealed his desire to work with former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini – the man currently in charge of the Istanbul outfit.
He told Turkish TV station Beyaz TV: “It’s true that Roberto Mancini wants me and I hope one day to be able to work with him because he is a great coach. My agent is in contact with Galatasaray.”
