Juventus wing-back Mauricio Isla has confirmed the move to newly promoted Queens Park Rangers, Daily Star reports.
The Chile star has been an interest for both Arsenal and Liverpool, but has finally ended speculation after agreeing on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.
Isla tweeted on social media platform Twitter: “Starting a new stage on my career. Happy for be a new @QPRFC player”.
The 26-year-old signed for Juventus just two years ago from Udinese, but has however struggled to get regular playing time with the Serie A champions.
Isla is an extremely versatile player, capable of playing anywhere on the sides from right-back to winger.
Arsenal and Liverpool were both originally keen on bringing the player to fill in the right-back role, but the Gunners went on to sign Debuchy while Liverpool are still in search for a back-up to Glen Johnson.
But QPR boss Harry Redknapp has warded off any interest by securing the Chilean, who will be available for the London club’s opening fixture against Hull City.
