Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has criticised the referee after the Gunners lost 1-0 at Stoke City.
The Potters won thanks to a Jon Walters penalty, one that Wenger was furious with as he believes defender Laurent Koscielny could do nothing to get out of the way.
While moaning about the ref, Wenger did admit that his side were not good enough and they have now fallen four points behind Chelsea with the other teams around them also finding form.
The Frenchman has criticised his forward thinking players for not creating enough and admitted it was a setback in their title challenge.
“It was a nice gift from the referee,” Wenger said.
“Koscielny is one yard away. He has no time. How can he take his hand away? He has no chance.
“It is a big worry not to win a game like that, it’s massive setback.
“We didn’t produce the performance that we wanted. To win a title, you have to perform when you’re expected to.
“It was a good defensive performance and overall I think we were unlucky to lose this game. Offensively we didn’t create enough. Our offensive game was poor considering our standards. At the end of day we didn’t score.”
