The French striker was at the Emirates yesterday to watch the North London club beat West Brom 1-0 and so rumours spread that he was invited by Wenger.
Remy’s compatriot Wenger dismissed that talk, but is keen to add to his striking options ahead of next season after relying heavily on Olivier Giroud this season.
Wenger claims he had no idea Remy was at the ground today and certainly didn’t invite down for talks regarding a move, with Newcastle and QPR yet to agree a fee for the on loan star.
“Honestly I have just been informed that Loic Remy was here, I didn’t know,” Wenger said.
“So don’t see any sign of us signing Loic Remy in that. I hope he has paid for his ticket! No [I didn’t invite him], that’s why I tell you I have not invited him.”
