Arsene Wenger has revealed five targets he would want to see join him at Arsenal next season, Daily Star reports.
First off, Wenger is targeting a new striker and sees Mario Balotelli as a possible candidate who can add some extra firing power in his front lines.
The potential £25 million deal to bring Balotelli to the Emirates is said to be backed by the club as well as the player’s sponsor, Puma, so there is a high chance he could be returning to the English Premier League.
In addition to the Serie A front man making a switch, the club are also keeping an eye on Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, who has been in great form for Chile at the World Cup.
The Chilean attacker is estimated to be worth about £25 million, but his team will not be looking to let him leave unless they can find a suitable replacement.
Elsewhere, the French manager has already made Toulouse’s right back Serge Aurier his number one priority to replace Bacary Sagna.
He is also known to want to reinforce his midfield with a more defensive player as well as bring in someone who can provide competition to Wojciech Szczesny since the departure of Lukasz Fabianski.
