Italian sides Juventus and Inter Milan have joined the race to sign Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata in the summer, as reported by Football-Italia.
Arsenal are still the favourites to drag the Spanish under-21 international to England, however the added competition may well boost the price of the highly rated striker.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has made two attempts to sign Morata in previous transfer windows but Real Madrid refused to sell, however that mind-set may have now changed.
Youngster Jese has broken through into the first team this season and is now the main competition to Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema up front, as well as versatile Gareth Bale.
Despite having time on his side, Morata is now seen as surplus to requirements in the Spanish capital and the La Liga club would accept bids of around £15million for their academy product.
Juventus and Inter are set to match Arsenal’s bid for him so it will be down to the 21 year old to decide where his future lies this summer
