Arsenal right back Carl Jenkinson, is being targeted for a loan move by a quartet of Premier League clubs, including West Ham, Hull City, Sunderland and Swansea, according to the Metro.

Jenkinson’s first team opportunities at the Emirates this season look slim, with the Gunners having just splashed £12million on France international Mathieu Debuchy as a replacement for Bacary Sagna.

And with reports also suggesting that Arsenal have agreed a fee with Southampton for their promising young full back Calum Chambers, a loan move for Jenkinson looks likely.

West Ham, Hull, Sunderland and Swansea are the main names in the frame to snap up the 22-year-old, who made 22 appearances for the Gunners last term.

Wenger doesn’t want to sell the once-capped England international, and hopes a season of first team Premier League football will aid his development.

The Gunners have been busy themselves in the transfer market this summer, with Alex Sanchez, Mathieu Debuchy, and David Ospina expected to be followed shortly by Chambers.

Jenkinson’s previous loan spell was with non-league Eastbourne Borough, back in 2010.
