Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes he has found another promising youngster in the shape of Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah, according to the Metro.

The well rounded midfield man is on loan at Watford for the season and has been the catalyst for the West London club challenging for the automatic promotion places in the Championship.

The Hornets boss Gianfranco Zola has recently tipped the 18 year old to fill the boots of the departing Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge but if Wenger has his way that won’t happen.

Chalobah is an England under-21 international and has made almost 30 appearances for Watford this season as he has become the main man in Zola’s side who will want him to return to Vicarage Road next season.

Wenger will have to dig deep into his pockets if Arsenal are to sign the youngster as Chelsea are hopeful of giving Chalobah plenty of first team football next season under their new manager.
