Arsenal have joined Valencia in the race to sign Napoli attacker Eduardo Vargas this summer, talkSPORT reports.
Vargas was one of the stars for Chile during the FIFA World Cup, with the Gunners keen to bring him to the Emirates and reunite with international teammate Alexis Sanchez.
The 24-year old has already been cut from Napoli’s Champions League squad for the qualifying round, which means if he was to move to Arsenal Vargas would not be cup-tied for Europe’s elite competition.
The Gunners are not the only suitors for the former Gremio ace, as Valencia are attempting to beat the London club in the battle for his signature.
Vargas was on loan at the La Liga side last season, and impressed the club enough into considering a permanent move.
Last season for Valencia Vargas made 25 appearances, scoring five goals before being picked for Chile’s 23-man World Cup squad.
