Arsenal are keen to sign Polish midfielder Dominik Furman of Legia Warsaw, but may wait until the summer to make their move, according to the Daily Mail.
The 21-year-old is highly thought of in his homeland, after a series of impressive displays in the holding midfield role.
Furman has recently won two caps for the national team, but has featured more regularly for the Under-21’s, where has managed nine caps and a single goal.
He is yet to score for his club, but has played a crucial role for them this season.
Furman has managed 24 league appearances, and played a crucial part in Legia Warsaw climbing to the top of the table, where they are five points clear of closest rivals Gornik Zabrze.
Wenger has been linked with a number of holding midfielders in recent months, with perhaps only Mathieu Flamini regarded as the only natural player in that position.
Mikel Arteta has often played the role, but Wenger is looking to add more aggression to his midfield, and sees the youngster as a possible answer for the future.
