Arsenal have made a formal bid for Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria, with Manchester United and Manchester City also interested, Express reports.
Di Maria played a starring role in his club’s UEFA Champions League final victory and awarded the man of the match prize last weekend.
Now the Argentine is being courted by Europe’s top clubs with Paris Saint-Germain, Monaco, and Juventus all monitoring the situation.
However Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen to keep his winger at the Santiago Bernabeu despite reports from Argentina claiming Di Maria could agree to leave within the next few weeks.
“It is true that he is leaving because he wants to go,” a source close to Di Maria told UOL Sport.
“It is very likely that he will leave before the end of the World Cup in Brazil.”
It seems that amidst all the interest, Arsenal are not the only team to have made a formal offer.
PSG and Monaco have both joined the Gunners in attempting to lure the 26-year-old with an early bid.
“Arsenal, PSG and Monaco have all made concrete offers for Angel,” the source added.
“But there is still interest from Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus.”
