Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is set to sign a new £100,000-a-week deal with the Gunners, the Telegraph reports.
After Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla are set to commit their futures to the club with new long term contracts.
The former pair completed their deals on Tuesday, and now Ramsey and Cazorla are set to follow suit.
Wales international Ramsey will become Arsenal’s second highest earner behind Mesut Ozil, earning £100,000-a-week that reflects his performance and his importance to Arsene Wenger.
Purchased from Malaga in 2012, Spanish playmaker Santi Cazorla is also due a contract extension that will increase his wages to £80,000 a week.
On the other hand, Wenger will lose defender Bacary Sagna as contract negotiations have come to a standstill.
The Frenchman is out of contract this summer and is yet to agree to several new deals, with Italian giants Inter Milan monitoring the situation closely.
Wenger is looking to keep the core of his team as they push for the title this year and has stated that Mertesacker and Rosicky are “players of exceptional quality and experience”, who had “consistently proven themselves at the highest level”.
Arsenal were given another boost as January signing Kim Kallstrom could soon be fit to play his first game for the Gunners.
