Arsenal have open talks with Gremio over a deal to bring Bressan to the Emirates with possibility of a first team role, Metro reports.
The Brazilian defender is a product of the Juventus youth academy where he was regarded as one of the best defensive youngster in the Italian league.
Arsene Wenger’s side have been in contact with the Gremio board and is believed to be in the process of sending the club’s chief negotiator, Dick Law, to advance negotiations.
Bressan, 21, was recently linked with another Brazilian side, Santos, but with the Gunners knocking on the door, the young starlet could prefer a European move instead.
With a lack of competition in the centre-back role, Wenger believes his latest target can jump right into the squad and provide stiff competition for Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, and Thomas Vermalen.
The English side wants to complete the move swiftly, but they will need to wait for the work permit to process to go through in order to get the results right away.
