Arsenal will need to step up their chase for Jefferson Montero after the player revealed he has received offers linking him with a move to Europe, Express reports.
Having impressed at the World Cup, the Ecuadorian star has become a target for a number of clubs including West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion, and Swansea.
The 24-year-old winger stated that a deal is being negotiated at the moment by his current club Monarcas Morelia and which could see the Ecuadorian move to Europe.
“It’s certain that I’ll leave the league, but let’s see where I’ll go. We expect to sort it out within the next few days,” Montero said.
“I already have an offer, the club are handling it. Let’s see where I’ll go but for now I have some days off.
Montero added: “I can tell you that it won’t be Mexico. It will be Europe and thank God we are working on it, I hope it works out.”
