Arsenal are looking to make a transfer deadline day offer for Sevilla ace Carlos Bacca to cover for injured striker Olivier Giroud, Goal.com reports.
Giroud is set to miss all of 2014 with a fractured ankle, forcing manager Arsene Wenger to search for another centre-forward and has targeted Bacca before the transfer window shuts on Monday night.
The Colombian has a £27.6million buy-out clause in his current Sevilla contract, but the La Liga side are reportedly open to let Bacca leave for around £12.5million.
The Gunners were looking to bring French striker Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers, but the former Newcastle hitman chose to make a move to Chelsea instead.
This has put Bacca as Wenger’s number one priority ahead of the transfer deadline, but will have to move quick in order to complete the deal.
Bacca scored 21 goals for Sevilla in all competitions last season, with seven helping the La Liga side win the Europa League.
