Arsenal are planning to make an offer to bring Stephane Mbia to the club on a free transfer after he was released by Queens Park Rangers, Daily Star reports.

The 28-year-old was sent on loan to Seville in the previous season where he made 30 appearances for the La Liga side before coming back a Europa league winner but is now set to leave QPR.

Mbia is considered a player who can solve Arsene Wenger’s problem in defensive midfield, the role he has wanted to reinforce all summer.

It is believed that the holding midfielder will want to join the Gunners with a preferred £60,000 a week wages, which is a very reasonable alternative to the high demands of top target Sami Khedira.

However, Wenger will likely face competition for his signature with Newcastle, West Ham United, as well as Crystal Palace all wanting to add him to their ranks.

Wenger spend our money, so far you have spent a net spend of £10m, when you advise fans that you have £100m. season after season were 2 – 3 players short, season after season the squad cannot cope with the demands, pull your head out your backside, and your corporate bank card out of your wallet and buy buy buy.

Wenger should make Khedira equal highest paid player at Arsenal with his German brother Ozil, these guys are winners and Sami would slot right in alongside Podolski, Mertesaker, Gnabry and Ozil into a really strong new Arsenal squad.
If not Khedira then burst the bank for top cover for Giroud, Cavani might work but Remy is proven in the Prem already so hes not so much of a punt! Get it done Mr Wenger and watch us fly!!
