Arsenal have snapped up the son of Manchester United winger Ashley Young, according to the Daily Mail.
A picture of nine-year-old Tyler Young was tweeted by Nicky Pike – the former fiance of Ashley – signing a contract with the Gunners.
Young then retweeted the image, in which Nicky posted the message: ‘signed and sealed it’s official. Well done to all the boys who signed their contracts today! #proudparents.’
Young is a boyhood Arsenal fan, with his favourite player understood to be Ian Wright.
Tyler is the latest son to opt against following in his fathers footsteps by signing for another club.
Robin Van Persie and Phil Neville both have son’s who are a part of the Manchester City youth set up, having opted not to pursue a career at Old Trafford.
Shaqueel van Persie, seven, and Harvey Neville, 11, have not not signed with United’s cross city rivals, but have trained as a part of their youth set up.
