Arsenal are attempting to sign Torino’s Alessio Cerci in order to reinforce their forward line after news that Olivier Giroud could be sidelined with an injury, Metro reports.
With Lukas Podolski also on the verge of a club exit, Arsene Wenger will need some extra attackers to provide the club with some much need depth in their striking department.
The Gunners are currently preparing an offer which could see the 27-year-old Italian international make a switch to the English Premier League, less than a week before the close of the transfer window.
Cerci is also drawing interest from AC Milan as well as Roma, but it seems that the Serie A side would not want to sell their player to a team in the same league.
He made 36 appearances for his side the previous season, scoring 13 goals and could be close to an Emirates switch, with his club already prepared to see him leave.
